We looked forward to staying at this Harvest Host before we even had our 5th Wheel. We’d seen it on YouTube before and it really looked like it was going to be a great stay. Its the only Lavender Farm in Florida and is Veteran owned. The couple is very knowledgeable about Lavender and offer …

It was a nice overnight stay. Even though we were in Florida, the weather was still really cold. We woke to the temprature being 33 degrees. The puddle that was in the parking lot froze over night. I had to double check and make sure we were truly in Florida!
On our way to the next Harvest Host, we traveled thru Biloxi MS and made a stop down at the Biloxi small craft harbor. There was a ‘Gold Star Family’ memorial honoring the Vets and their families who served their country and lost their lives. I took a few pictures of the beach too.. I …

Our next overnight was at Shepard State Park. It was a short drive from the brewing company, but once again, we had the ability to get water and dump our tanks. This was a more rustic campground with dirt roads, but it too had its special amenities. You would never expect this park to be …
Our next stop after leaving Lafayette on our way to Florida was at the Ft. Bayou Brewing Company. This was a Harvest Host and I was looking forward to ‘not cooking’ for a change. They said they had 7 sites available for the night. When arrived, there were all ready 5 campers in the parking …

This was one of the many Harvest Hosts that we have stayed at over the course of our trip. You essentially stay in a parking lot for free and all they ask is that you patronize the vendor at that location. This was a beautiful clean location for an over night and the museum had …

Although we tried to extend our stay at Crane Mill Park, we were not able to, so we moved about 10 miles down the road to Potters Creek Park, which is a sister camp to Crane Mill Park. Like Crane Mill Park, this was on Canyon Lake and down on a peninsula surrounded by water. …

Another WONDERFUL Army Corps of Engineers Park! Boy have we been hitting it rich with the State Parks! This was another homerun! The campground was on a peninsula off Canyon Lake. Our site was a fully paved back in. We had a nice covered picnic table with water and electric! We were sportin! Our morning …

Our next stop was another Harvest Host location and was in the ‘Texas Hill Country’ located in Kerrville Texas. The museum promotes and preserves the heritage of the American West. Every aspect of western life was depicted. We saw paintings, bronze statues and carvings of Plains Indians, women of the West, settlers, mountain men and …
