Trucks with Tracks! Who needs snow tires or chains!

It snowed in the mountains last night and now the Cascades are showing quite a bit more white. You see this view all over the town of Bend and don’t think we would ever get tired of it. They are predicting snow starting on Thursday 12/9 and continuing off and on thru next week. The lack of snow has delayed many openings of the local mountain ski resorts, ie Bachelor Mountain.. they are usually open by the beginning of November and at this point in 2020 they are still not open due to the lack of snow! We, on the other hand, are happy to be leaving and sorry we can’t participate in the excitement of the impending snow fall, but towing a 5th wheel and not owning any chains.. well, its time to go!

We stayed in Bend to have our Lithium Battery install completed so we will be ‘independent’ when camping remotely… Its a beast!!

Solar Panels

While we were at Bend Battery we got to see a work in progress! A ‘Schoolie’ being modified by the same team that installed our Battery/Solar system! It was SOOOO impressive. They raised the roof and welded the side panels. Unbelievable! All the while, learning along the way with the construction of their remodel. Everyone there was great and patient.. always willing to help us with all the ‘technical’ issues of our age group! Thanks Bend Battery!!!
